Teaching Materials

The partners of the Population Europe network offer a broad range of educational materials, videos and software, which can be used in school classrooms, universities and other educational facilities to explain major demographic trends.

 The European Demographic Data Sheet
The European Demographic Data Sheet pools current figures as well as projections. It covers the EU 27-countries and 22 other states on the European continent as well as Japan and the United States. Basic demographic data about fertility, ageing and migration is presented in one main table and short explanatory text and additional graphs highlight certain interesting developments.  Resources for Educators
The Population Reference Bureau has a variety to tool available for teachers to use in the classroom. This includes, among other things, lesson plans, materials related to the population handbook, student activities and glossaries of demography-relevant terms. The materials are available in English.

INED has designed a series of teaching kits that describe a number of useful demographic tools and concepts. They are intended for use in primary and secondary schools as classroom teaching aids or to help teachers prepare their lessons.
