Study "Strong Children - Strong Family"

The Robert Bosch Stiftung presents the study "Starke Kinder - Starke Familie" (in German) on the well-being of children in cities and communities. This study shows how municipalities can support and boost the quality of life, development opportunities, and social participation of children. Making children “strong” in this sense requires a joint effort by families, civil initiatives, businesses and government agencies that also involves the children themselves.

On behalf of the Robert Bosch Stiftung, a team of experts comprised of sociologist Professor Hans Bertram, political scientist Professor Tine Stein, journalist Elisabeth Niejahr, and employees from Roland Berger Strategy Consultants discussed the concept of children’s well-being and how it is related to policy and society. The outcomes of this discourse on the basis of the 2005 UNICEF framework of analysis are now published in the study.
