The Sequence Analysis Association (SAA) is an international scholarly society and was founded in October 2018, with the aim to promote research, teaching, and diffusion of sequence analysis in the social sciences.

Membership in SAA is free and applications are welcomed on a continuous basis. The SAA organizes symposiums, training courses, and webinars, as well as collects and shares valuable information, on sequence analysis and related methods. The association also facilitates networking among sequence analysis researchers.

Partners of Population Europe are active members of SAA's Executive Committee (Danilo Bolano and  Raffaella Piccarreta, Bocconi University; Gilbert Ritschard and Matthias Studer, NCCR LIVES and University of Geneva) and Advisory Board (Francesco C Billari, Bocconi University; Jacques-Antoine Gauthier, NCCR LIVES and University of Lausanne).
