Event: NEW DATE: Short Course on Agent-Based Modelling for Social Research

ERC Consolidator Grants are designed to support excellent Principal Investigators at the career stage at which they may still be consolidating their own independent research team or programme. Applicant Principal Investigators must demonstrate the ground-breaking nature, ambition and feasibility of their scientific proposal. Research funded by the ERC is expected to lead to advances at the frontiers of knowledge and to set a clear and inspirational target for frontier research across Europe.

We especially congratulate three of the 2019 recipients, who are affiliated with Population Europe as Experts and/or with one of our partner institutions:

  • Anna MATYSIAK - Österreichische Akademie der Wissenschaften / Austrian Academy of Sciences (AAS) - PROJECT: Globalisation- and Technology-Driven Labour Market Change and Fertility
  • Iñaki PERMANYER - Centre d'Estudis Demogràfics Centre for Demographic Studies (CED) - PROJECT: Healthy lifespan inequality: Measurement, trends and determinants
  • Nicola BARBAN - University of Essex - PROJECT: Genes, genealogies and the evolution of demographic change and social inequality

And a hearty congratulations to all of this year's recipients in the social sciences and humanities!
