News: Tineke Fokkema Appointed Professor of 'Ageing, Families and Migration'
Tineke Fokkema has been appointed as the new endowed chair of 'Ageing, Families and Migration' at the Erasmus School of Social and Behavioural Sciences (ESSB) of Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR). It is the first professorship in the Netherlands to focus on diversity within the population of older migrants, especially in relation to social issues and well-being.

News: 2018 Allianz European Demographer Awards for Kieron Barclay and Fanny Janssen
During an award ceremony on 10 April 2018 at the heart of Berlin, at the Allianz Forum, Kieron Barclay and Fanny Janssen were honoured with the 2018 Allianz European Demographer Awards. The award ceremony was held on occasion of the opening event of the Berlin Demography Forum, with eminent decision-makers and representatives in attendance from research and business, as well as from political and societal organisations.

News: The 2018 edition of the lives best paper award for early scholars worth 2000 € is launched
The award will be delivered during the next conference of the Society for Longitudinal and Life Course Studies (SLLS), which will take place at the University of Milano-Bicocca (Italy) from 9 to 11 July 2018. In addition to the prize, the author will be invited to present the awarded paper during the conference and have his/her travel expenses, conference and hotel fees covered.
