In 2013, our exhibition "How to Get to 100 - and Enjoy It" was apart of the 2013 Science Year - "The Demographic Opportunity", which is an initiative of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Five years after its launch, our travelling exhibition will be travelling again, but this time as an app!

The Fertility and Family Planning Section of the United Nations Population Division has published three key datasets.

Tineke Fokkema has been appointed as the new endowed chair of 'Ageing, Families and Migration' at the Erasmus School of Social and Behavioural Sciences (ESSB) of Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR). It is the first professorship in the Netherlands to focus on diversity within the population of older migrants, especially in relation to social issues and well-being.

During an award ceremony on 10 April 2018 at the heart of Berlin, at the Allianz Forum, Kieron Barclay and Fanny Janssen were honoured with the 2018 Allianz European Demographer Awards. The award ceremony was held on occasion of the opening event of the Berlin Demography Forum, with eminent decision-makers and representatives in attendance from research and business, as well as from political and societal organisations.

The Council of EAPS has the pleasure to invite nominations for the various Awards which will be presented at the upcoming European Population Conference 2018 in Brussels!  Nominations for the Awards should reach EAPS by 1 April 2018 at the latest! Nominations are invited for the following Awards:
