The Commission would like to hear your views.

Until 21 April 2021, The European Commission has opened a feedback period to the public and stakeholders alike for their new green paper on ageing in Europe. This extensive publication covers topics such as healthy lifestyles, bringing more people into the workforce, and the impact of ageing on our ‘careers, wellbeing, pensions, social protection and productivity.’

Target audience

All members of the public and stakeholders are welcome to express their views. We are particularly interested in feedback from stakeholders and individuals that are either addressing ageing-related policies, or that are affected by different aspects of ageing. Relevant stakeholders include: public authorities in the Member States, regional and local authorities, social partners, stakeholders active on ageing-related issues in a wide sense, including health and care sectors, and education and training, as well as business organisations, academia, experts, think tanks and international organisations.

Why they are consulting

The purpose of this consultation is to gather views from stakeholders and the public on how to anticipate and respond to the challenges and opportunities that ageing of the EU population brings, in order to help prepare possible policy responses.  The green paper takes a life-cycle approach, thereby highlighting that ageing affects all ages and generations.
