In 2022 The Willy Calewaert chair is awarded to Prof. Dr. Paul de Beer and will be organised by Interface Demography.

In a series of lectures and workshops, Paul de Beer will challenge the dominant market thinking within research and policy on the labour market and industrial relations. It is his contention that it is precisely by thinking in terms of a 'market metaphor', little progress has been made over the past half-century in explaining the shortcomings of the labour market.
