Partner: International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP)
Deadline

At the invitation of the Australian Population Association, the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population looks forward to welcoming you to the 30th International Population Conference (IPC2025) in Brisbane 13-18 July 2025.

At IPC2025 you will be able to engage with leading experts, collaborate with colleagues from across the globe, keep abreast of the latest advancements and research findings, and elevate your professional development through workshops and research meetings. Institutions working in the population field are encouraged to organise exhibits, side meetings, training workshops or sponsored research sessions.

This conference celebrates the rich diversity of cultures, ideas and perspectives that can foster a deeper understanding of the global implications of population change, and it will be the first in-person IPC since 2017. And what better location to bring our international network together, than Brisbane, in Queensland, Australia. Located on the banks of the Brisbane River, denoted by our conference logo artwork, Australia’s third largest city has a thriving city centre and a subtropical climate and 240 days of sunshine every year.   Brisbane enjoys an alfresco lifestyle focused around the energetic dining and entertainment precincts nestled along the river, all easily accessible on foot by extensive green bridge infrastructure.

The conference venue, the acclaimed Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre – consistently rated among the world’s top three convention centres – is surrounded by green spaces, rainforest pockets, swimming lagoons, cafes, bars and restaurants, as well as Australia’s largest Gallery of Modern Art, the city’s performing arts centre and museums. This creates extensive opportunities for bespoke delegate networking experiences.  And for those extending their visit to the city, or Australia, Brisbane also offers easy access to unique nature experiences, with Moreton Bay’s pristine white sand islands and World Heritage-listed Gondwana rainforests on the city’s doorstep.  We hope that you can join us at IPC2025 to share knowledge, promote collaboration, and work towards a better future for all.
