They are pleased to announce the upcoming international and interdisciplinary conference on “14 Years of pairfam - Résumé and Outlook of the German Family Panel”, to be held from May 11 to May 13, 2022 in Munich, Germany and online. Save the dates and mark your calendar!

Since 2008 the pairfam project provides large representative longitudinal datasets to be used by the scientific community for analyzing close relationships and family dynamics in Germany from a multi-actor perspective. This official closing conference is part of the scientific program of the pairfam project, which has been funded by the German Research Foundation across 14 years. For more details, please see www.pairfam.de.

The conference will focus on all main themes of pairfam including:

  • issues of partnership,
  • parenthood,
  • intergenerational relationships,
  • parenting and child development,
  • current topics like the COVID-19 pandemic.

Invited presentations by internationally renowned scientists will focus on the scientific achievements of the pairfam project for interdisciplinary family research as well as the panel’s future as part of the FReDA data infrastructure.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the final format of the conference will depend on government restrictions in May 2022. They are currently planning a hybrid event allowing for both on-site and online participation. Given limitations in the number of participants, they encourage early registration. They are looking forward to numerous submissions and an exciting conference.
