The Department of Statistical Sciences "Paolo Fortunati" of the University of Bologna is recruiting three postdoctoral researchers to join the FIS2 project “Networks of Influence in Family Formation" (NETFAM).
NETFAM explores an expansively defined network of potential sources of influence (e.g., family, kin, neighbours, friends, co-workers, and online connections) and studies how they relate to family outcomes (e.g., leaving the parental home, forming a union, having children, separating). The project comprises of two complementary lines of research. The first collects and analyses new longitudinal data in Italy, including mapping network members and family outcomes. The second conducts secondary data analyses on international survey, administrative and/or network data on the above-mentioned themes.
We are seeking candidates with experience in collecting and/or analysing quantitative data related to demographic outcomes. Fluency in English is expected and interest in network analysis is appreciated.
