What are the impacts and consequences of the coronavirus pandemic on our lives and our societies – and what are some of the solutions we can find to boost our healthcare systems, secure our businesses, maintain our jobs and education, and stabilise financial markets and economies?

The corona pandemic is leading to painful adjustments in almost all areas of the economy and society, but also to creative responses. The OECD's special website www.oecd.org/coronavirus bundles information on the political reactions in the countries as well as the OECD recommendations for action. The site is continuously supplemented and updated.

In addition to real-time data and recommendations, the following brief analyses are already available:

Containment: Flattening the COVID-19 peak: Containment and mitigation policies describes current measures to flatten the peak of the infection curve and the effectiveness of individual measures - based on findings from previous epidemic outbreaks.

Health: Beyond Containment: Health systems responses to COVID-19 in the OECD describes the status quo in the OECD countries and examines how to ensure that the most vulnerable people in particular receive adequate care.

Employment and Social Policies: Supporting people and companies to deal with the Covid-19 virus summarises the tools that can help employers and employees to get through the crisis financially.

This and other brief analyses on education, SMEs, tax and finance, tourism and consumer protection can be found at: www.oecd.org/coronavirus/en/#id-7
