The Italian Association for Population Studies (SIS-AISP) cordially invites submissions to the 16th edition of Giornate di Studio sulla Popolazione – Popdays 2027, to be held in Trento, at the University of Trento from 9 to 11 June 2027.

We are pleased to announce the partecipation of UNFPA – United Nations Population Fund in the conference.

Submissions should be made to one of the conference themes (conveners in brackets):

5. Families and households [Raffaele Guetto]

7. Health, morbidity and wellbeing [Gaia Bertarelli]
8. Historical demography [Francesco Scalone]
9. Internal migration, depopulation and inner areas [Roberto Impicciatore]
10. International migrations and migrant populations [Manuela Stranges]
11. Life courses [Daniele Vignoli]
12. Mortality and Longevity [Virginia Zarulli]
13. Policy issues [Anna Paterno]
14. Posters [Elisa Brini]

Authors are asked to provide (in English):

• a short abstract (max 200 words);
• three to five keywords;
• an extended abstract (2-4 pages) OR the full paper;
• full names, affiliations and e-mail addresses of all co-authors.

The conference will be held in English. At most 1 submission as presenting author is allowed.

Contributions must be submitted in PDF format through the submission system.

Submission deadline: 9 October 2026.
