Using Zoom

Settings during the webinar

You can change your name with the Rename function under the Participants list. It would be helpful for the discussion if you always enter your first and last name here. Please note that you cannot turn on your mic and camera during Zoom webinars.

Ask a question

If you would like to ask a question, please click on the Q&A button at the bottom of the screen. There you can also see the questions from other participants, rate them and thus influence their order.

Zoom technical notes

Please do not access the link via the Safari web browser. With Google Chrome, Firefox and other browsers, Zoom usually works fine.

After clicking the link, please follow the instructions from Zoom (e.g. click Open URL: Zoom Launcher). Zoom usually runs better with the desktop version than with the browser version.

On Apple computers, installation of the Zoom program (approx. 10 MB disk space) may be required. Please install the program in advance if necessary.

If you have technical problems

Sometimes it helps if you leave the webinar briefly and log back in again right away.

If possible, connect your computer to the LAN with a cable.

You may experience problems with Zoom if you are connected to the Internet via a VPN.

You can contact the following email for support during the webinar: events@population-europe.eu.
