Europe is ageing. As the largest age cohort enters retirement, pension systems will have to adapt. Adaptive policies must aim for fair and sustainable reforms if societies want to avoid discontentment with the welfare state, inequality, and polarisation.
In the EU-funded FutuRes project ("Towards a Resilient Future of Europe"), leading researchers have dedicated the last 3 years to deliver a sound scientific basis for such reforms. Join us in Brussels to hear about their results and recommendations. Understand the effects of demographic change on social and human capital, especially with respect to families, and discuss options for labour market resilience and fair pension reforms.
This is an in-person conference aimed at policymakers, researchers and civil society experts.
