Webinar with Population Europe Experts from the Wittgenstein Centre for Demography and Global Human Capital (IIASA, VID / ÖAW, WU) Dr Isabella Buber-Ennser and Dr Judith Kohlenberger

Thursday, 6 October 2016  14:00 – 15:00 Brussels time

In summer and fall of 2015, thousands of people seeking refuge from wars and other humanitarian crises arrived in Europe. Their arrival has thoroughly shaken Europe’s political landscape, yet there has been no scientific assessment of the backgrounds these refugees bring with them.

Dr Isabella Buber-Ennser and Dr Judith Kohlenberger together with several esteemed colleagues, have conducted a survey to gather information on refugees’ attitudes and motivations, skills and intentions. The first results of the Displaced Persons in Austria Survey (DiPAS) have just been published in PLOS ONE.
