The 2021 Conference will again be virtual, building on the experience of the 2020 virtual Conference.
The provisional programme is now available here:
BSPS Programme 2021 (provisional)
In addition to the programme on 14 & 15 September, there will be two ONS sessions on Developments in Official Statistics on the afternoon of Monday 13 September. There are a further two sessions in the regular programme. Additionally, there will be two workshops/panel sessions on the Monday afternoon, 13 September. See the programme for details and timings.
Registration for the Conference is open to all BSPS members, but you must be a member to attend. There are no further registration charges.
Registration is now open & details have been sent to all members. If you are a member & have not received registration information, please email email@example.com. New members will receive registration details as soon as their membership is confirmed.
Within the virtual format, sessions will be shorter than at the in-person Conference, and are expected to last one hour, with 4 presentations per session. Presentations should be tailored to the virtual format and should avoid the temptation to try to cram in too much material. Discussion of presentations will form an important part of the sessions. It is anticipated that there will be five simultaneous sessions in each time slot.
Appreciating that networking is an integral part of conferences, BSPS is working towards making virtual networking part of this year’s Conference.
