The Federal Institute for Population Research (BiB) in Wiesbaden, Germany has a vacancy for a PhD position in mobility studies (0.7 fte). The BiB is a research institute funded by the German government located in Wiesbaden, close to Frankfurt. The BiB employs about 80 staff, mostly researchers.
They offer a 70% position, initially limited to four years with an option to extend. The salary is based on the German public service pay scale (E-13 TVöD-Bund).
The appointment will be made in the research group "Spatial Mobility and Internal Migration". The successful candidate will be expected to carry out quantitative research on spatial mobility/internal migration in a life course perspective. Training and expertise in the analysis of secondary data and strong quantitative analysis skills are essential.
