The unit for family and population research of the Centre for Sociological Research at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven) is recruiting a junior researcher with a strong interest in population issues and family dynamics in Europe.
Precarious family lives and the recent fertility downturn in Europe.
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills, notably in English
- Strong interest in family demography and population issues, particularly in family dynamics and fertility
- Master’s degree in a human behavioural sciences discipline, including (but not limited to) sociology, economics, psychology, communication science or anthropology (degree should be awarded by September 2021 at the latest), with excellent results for theoretical as well as methodological courses
- Well trained in statistical methodology and confident in dealing with quantitative data; eager to learn and master more advanced techniques of statistical analysis
