Francesco Billari, Professor of Demography and Rector of the Bocconi University in Italy was awarded the SLLS Harvey Goldstein Memorial Award 2023. 

This annual award by the Society for Longitudinal and Lifecourse Studies (SLLS) is organized in memory of Harvey Goldstein and honours a scholar who has made a significant contribution in advancing methodologies for life course studies.

Gunnar Andersson, professor in demography at the Department of Sociology at Stockholm University University and its Demography Unit, SUDA, has been elected as a new member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in its class for social sciences.

The Royal Academy of Sciences describes Gunnar Andersson's research as innovative, and states that it has great value both nationally and internationally.
