Why the Future of our Population Matters?

Nov 19

What does the data revolution tell us about population trends and what does it not tell us? Is childbearing increasingly becoming a problem of social justice? Does a higher proportion of older people and pensioners increase the likelihood of intergenerational conflicts? What are the differences in the family lives of migrants and their descendants in Europe?

On Monday, 19 November 2018, the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research / Population Europe in collaboration with the British Embassy in Berlin and the UK Science & Innovation Network, the Generation and Gender Programme, the London School of Economics and Political Science will offer a workshop for analysts, journalists and other experts who work at the interface between science, politics and the public to answer these questions.

The workshop will take place at the British Embassy, Wilhelmstraße 70/71, 10117 Berlin.

Deadline for registrations: November 9, 2018.
