Senior Researcher for the Data Portal PERFAR
The Max Planck Institute for Social Law and Social Policy is a research facility established by the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science [Max-Planck-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Wissenschaften e.V.]. Our social law department is devoted to basic research in the field of foreign and international social law.
For the establishing of a databank offering information on social benefits systems we are looking for a Senior Researcher (full time) to join us at the earliest possible date.
The data portal PERFAR (www.perfar.eu) offers legal and economic data on demographic developments in Europe. The socio-political and legal information stored therein shall be expanded and further developed. Within the framework of a new interdisciplinary project the task, from a legal perspective, will be to tackle the challenge of assessing benefits systems with a view to obtaining sufficiently accurate and significantly quantifiable data.
- law degree with above-average qualifications, preferably combined with a completed doctoral degree;
- if possible, knowledge of social law and/or migration law;
- ability to work in a team and interest in interdisciplinary research;
- good command of English and, if possible, of further languages.
We offer a well-equipped workplace in a central location. Remuneration is offered according to the collective agreement for public service employees (Tarifvertrag für den öffentlichen Dienst – TvöD-Bund). Social benefits are paid in compliance with the regulations of the public service.
